Our Ethos

At Little Acorns, we believe that children learn best by doing and should be given plenty of opportunities to play and have fun whilst learning. We encourage children to always be willing to have a go and to keep trying even when faced with difficult circumstances. We acknowledge that each child is special and unique and are committed to creating a friendly and healthy environment in which they feel safe to flourish and form positive bonds with adults and friends. We want children to leave our setting feeling confident and excited about their next step in life. To achieve this, our curriculum is underpinned by our core values.

Our Core Values:

Active learning: we provide children with practical, hands-on learning opportunities

Courage: we encourage children to be confident, independent and resilient members of our community

Originality: we acknowledge that each child is unique and offer them the opportunity to flourish into an individual, catering to their needs and interests

Relationship: children forge positive and respectful relationships via our key worker approach, and we value our partnerships with parents and carers

Nurture: we care for children in a safe, healthy and friendly environment

Smiles: children have fun whilst learning through play in a happy environment
