I’m fairly new to childcare and this is my first ever nursery job, however I’ve absolutely fallen in love with it. I really enjoy working at Little Acorns and I think I’ve mastered working with the toddlers - they definitely keep you on your toes haha, but they really are like having mini best friends.
Lower Preschool
Lower preschool is for children aged 30+ months. the room consists of two main play rooms and a messy& food room. the children share a large bathroom with the toddlers, consisting of 5 child size toilets and sinks as well as a nappy changing area.
Throughout the play rooms you will find areas designated to each area of the early years curriculum. Lower preschool operate on a mixed ratio of 1:4 and 1:8 dependent on the age of the children in the room.
whilst in the lower preschool a lot independence is promoted, readying them for their last school year up in the preschool Room
